Welcome welcome.

Hi there! My name is Olivia Booth. I've started this blog as a part of my portfolio site for a few different reasons.

First of all, I like to write. For all sorts of reasons. I think reading someone's blog is a great way to get to know them or at least get a feel for their personality, which is important if you're trying to hire someone new (wink wink).

Second off, I think I have some good stuff to say. My parents and I sit for hours philosophizing and talking about the crazy world we live in, where it's headed, and where it went wrong (or right sometimes, not all doom and gloom I promise). Sometimes I think I come up with some pretty clever stuff. And maybe you'll think so, too. Now, that's not to say I'm going to get on my digital soapbox every day and ramble on and on about how cell phones are the devil and kids don't play outside enough anymore (I'm a millennial, I swear). I'm a pretty optimistic person. I just like to share ideas and I'm gonna try to put some positivity out there into the world while Im at it.

Finally, as an aspiring UX designer, I need a nice place to put my case studies out there for people to see. I also want to use this as a sort of... observational platform to talk about all of the everyday grievances I encounter with UX and UI design, as well as how I might fix them.
