For my design capstone, I designed and developed a website for my mother and I's hypothetical nonprofit jewelry business. On top of designing and developing the website itself, I got to build the brand from scratch, which was really fun.

I started by designing the logo with some input from my mother, the visionary of the company. Gradients, soft pastels, and quirky-but-still-readable fonts were the basis of the brand theme, as we wanted to present GKCC as a nonprofit with a hippie soul. After I had designed the logo, I drew up a few wireframes and then started building it using VSCode.

This whole project was a great exercise in not only design and development, but patience and determination. At a time when literally all of my classes were full-speed-ahead and fully loaded, I was able to concept, design, and develop a website and brand from scratch. In the end, I felt really proud of the results and of myself.
